A light next-to-skin moisture wicking breathable base.

  • Moisture Wicking

Micro-fleece channels moisture to absorb quickly, then transfers to outer fabric to evaporate.

  • Technical Warmth

Grid construction creates dead air space that insulates your body.

  • Comfort Fit

Minimizing bulk and chaffing with flat seam construction that follows human form.

Experience breathable warmth from the Bask L1 Pullover, the evolution of thermal base layer tops. Designed with Polartec® Power GridTM, a technical fleece that harnesses excellent moisture wicking properties while providing increased warmth and breathability. Improved fit and comfort is realized with unique shoulder seams shifted away from pack straps and flat seam contoured construction throughout, to minimize bulk. This lightweight pullover base layer provides a minimal design that maximizes human performance.

Polartec® Power Grid™ Fabric

The geometric construction generates targeted touch points for the patented design to manage moisture. The next-to-skin surface absorbs sweat vapor and transfers it outside. Then the outer surface disperses moisture for more efficient evaporation. The grid design also creates open air channels that improve breathability, and reduce fabric mass.

Enhanced Comfort

Flat seam construction minimizes bulk & chafing, while a unique shoulder seam placement makes comfort all day long while wearing a pack. Low bulk heat transfer internal label eliminates additional tags.

Thumb Loop

Slip your sleeves over your wrist for added warmth and comfort. Easily holds sleeves under gloves for seamless coverage.

slim fitting and very warm

This is the perfect base layer for cold weather. It kept me warm with other layers down to 0 F.

Bask baselayer

The warmest baselayer I own. Use it on a regular basis in low 40’s weather with a normal shirt over it and am toasty warm

Incredible wicking

This garment was tested during intense hikes/climbs that have previously left all other next to skin garment soaking wet. The Bask outperformed all synthetic and merino garments that I have used, including the leaders from the industry giants. After several intense hours this garment still wicked perspiration. The grid fleece aided in evaporation and the garment maintained a dry feel. The odor fighters incorporated into the garment worked well and I never developed a post workout funk.

This is a close fitting athletic garment. It has little stretch. Do not downsize as you would with most brands. The snug fit did allow additional layers to slide on without bunching.

At 6’2”, 188lbs, 42L, the Large fits me snug. My only suggestion for Beyond, would be a little more room in the upper arm and shoulder area.

Thank you for the exceptional product and athletic cut. I will be buying more!

Great product, but sized too small

I am a size XL in many brands, including Beyond. I own a K3 Prima Lochi jacket, Dawn Sherpa fleece, Celeris and several Todra base layers- All in size XL and they all fit perfect. Not too loose, not too tight. But this new Bask in XL was way too small. I could barely fit it over my shoulders and thought it would rip if I pulled it down further. This wasn’t “Next-to-skin” snug, it was uncomfortably tight. It felt like a Medium mislabelled as an XL. Otherwise, the fabric and construction looked superb. I wish it fit, becuae this would have been a winner!

Thanks so much for your review!

We are working to update the sizing for the Bask Pullover and after customer feedback are advising customers to size up.

Bask L1 L.S. Pull over

This is an excellent base layer. I have used it on three occasions with temperatures ranging from 24 - 40 F. There has generally been some amount of snow on the ground. The last time I used it was on a hike through a snow/water filled marsh. I have been pairing it with products made using polar grid products. These have been light fleeces + wind blocking shell. In all three times I have been warm and have not become wet after moving for a while. I like this product and I am looking at purchasing the bottoms. My only issue is that I generally wear a large with most other companies and I had to return and size up to an XL. I will say that the return/exchange process was easy and I was very satisfied with the outcome.
