Testa Softshell L5 Pant

I bought the coyote and rustic green in this pant. The fleece lining makes these very comfortable and despite the thickness of the material, they are quite flexible and can be worn indoors lounging as well as active outdoors. Very warm and can be worn on their own down to 20's F. Things I don't necessarily love are the mesh pocket material that snags easy (already have a tear) and wish they use a strong fabric, and the thigh zipper pockets sit a little low and are oversized (mostly a visual thing that make pants a little "old man" like but these are "functional" pants I guess).
I'm 5'-10", 163 lbs and the 32 Regular fit perfect, maybe even a bit snug at waist but fine for me. Normally I'm a 31W so I suggest sizing up.

I work outside in law enforcement at seattle. It rains often, these pants keep me dry and warm while getting rained on.

I originally got a 32 Long but was surprised on the tightness around the waist. For context I am 165lbs 5'11", I consider myself to have an athletic albeit skinny build and felt they were a little on the tight side up by the waist and upper thighs. I have previously purchased the VELOX LIGHT SOFTSHELL L5 PANT in a 32 Long which essentially are the same as this pant except for the fleece lining on the Testa. I suppose that is what makes it a slightly tighter fit, you now have two layers with this pant: the outer nylon-spandex shell combined with the laminated fleece pant. Overall great pant for winter conditions and being in areas under 30 degrees for prolonged periods especially when static and not moving. I personally would not buy another pair because I prefer doing my layering fleece/insulation layer separate from my outer pant shell layer (i.e. I prefer a lighter Layer 5) but this is a great pant if you are looking for those two combined into one.

Excellent quality as always from Beyond! Very comfortable and great fit. These have become my go to pants for hiking and camping!

I’ve used these pants extensively in the outdoors and have never been disappointed. So far they have always kept me warm and dry even wile stomping through waist deep snow. The insulation is good enough to keep your legs warm yet not so bulky you can’t wear them the out and about comfortably. I sent my son to the north slope with a pair and they’ve become a vital part of his layering to keep warm while working in that harsh environment.
