Earth-friendly PrimaLoft® Gold Eco Insulation is 55% recycled materials and withstands temperatures as low as -70° F. Built to handle moisture, this lightweight synthetic insulation is water resistant, retains heat even if it does get wet, and gets you back to dry faster than down.

Weather Protection

A 70-denier micro ripstop shell provides windproof and water-resistant protection while retaining breathability to keep you warm, dry, and sweat-free. Double-layer 40-denier CORDURA® ripstop mapped to key areas minimizes heat loss.

Gotchya Covered

An adjustable cinch hem with a long backside helps seal out the cold while extending coverage. Softshell thumbhole cuffs slip beneath your gloves, providing a baselayer for your hands and seamless coverage against the elements.

Finishing Touch

Extend your coverage and warmth even further with the insulated hood, and ensure a just-right fit with the adjustable crown cinch. The ruff liner is fashioned from sustainably sourced Finnish fox fur and can be shaped around the face with an internal wire. Attach or detach it with the integrated zipper for a warm and elegant Finishing touch.

Storage Galore

Four D-rings and eight pockets provide plenty of space for clipping and stowing accessories. Internal mesh pockets are ideal for drying wet gloves, and an external pocket just behind the wind flap offers access without unzipping. Stuff the whole parka down into the included sack for a quick makeshift pillow.

This jacket just deletes the cold

I got this jacket for cold Northern Alaskan winters. It arrived last week and I threw it on and took our dogs out for a 8 mile mush in -1 degrees. My upper body and legs (due to the long cut) were warm. I actually overheated a little bit rigging the dogs up. Anything around zero degrees requires no layering with this jacket, just throw it on over a T-shirt and roll out. The pockets are well placed and well insulated for hands, electronics, water bottle, etc. It is now go to jacket for super cold days in the tundra.

Incredibly warm, comfortable and light!

I purchased this for my wife, who is very sensitive to the cold. She has tried numerous jackets for our winter hikes, and has not found one that truly kept her consistently warm for multiple hours....until the K8-Alta Parka! Plus, she was astounded at how light weight and comfortable this jacket is! We were out hiking with our sled-dog in sub-zero (with wind chill) temperatures for over 2 hours and she was toasty warm the entire time! She also loves the cut - longer in the back to protect her from the wind and shorter in front, making it less restricting to move. Also, the outer fabric seems bomb-proof! She is not always the most careful to avoid branches and brambles, but this jacket shakes off everything! The Alta Parka is definitely a winner!!
