The new OCP pattern solves a previous issue of transitioning from a field uniform back to garrison. Now I can just throw on an issued top without the mismatch. And I’ve always preferred the fit to crye.

I’ve heard of Beyond Clothing before from a family member who’s a JTAC, but I didn’t look into it. Now that I’m a member of the armed forces, I wanted/needed something for the summer for AT. That’s when I got notification from Shop about similar products to Crye Precision, and that’s when I spotted these gems.

Pros:
1# Zipper pockets for silent opening. Although I have issued OCPs with the button closures, I’ve been spoiled by Crye Precision’s zipper closures for the rear pockets, so it’s a nice addition.

2# Knee pad height adjustment. Instead of using the issued knee pads, I can purchase a set of internal pads and still have a more low profile look instead of having something as outrageous as the external issued pads.

Cons:
A little baggy, but I assume after a wash or two, it’ll slim out.
