When we can't make it outside, diving into the adventures of fellow outdoor enthusiasts might be the next best thing. Here is a selection of our favorite outdoor podcasts for 2018.

1. Joe Rogan Experience

The Joe Rogan Experience is probably the most popular podcast on the internet. While Joe's podcast isn't necessarily an outdoor podcast and he covers pretty much the everything from politics to brazilian jiut jitsu, he has interviewed some very prolific hunters, fitness gurus and extreme sports athletes. Check out the following episodes for a little glimpse into the outdoor side of The Joe Rogan Experience:

2. The sharp end

One of the best ways to educate yourself about the wilderness is to learn from the mistakes and stories of others. The Sharp End focuses on accidents in the outdoors with host, Ashley Saupe, interviewing survivors. This podcast isn’t for the squeamish, but it provides helpful insights that could prove life-saving.

3. Humanature

HumaNature explores what happens when human society meets nature. This podcast tells stories from outdoor experiences all over the world. Each story is unique and there is something for everyone.

4. She Explores

She Explores focuses on women’s experience in the outdoors. Host Gale Straub focuses on telling the stories of women from all walks of life who are inspired and engage in outdoor activities. From hiking to surfing each episode highlights one woman’s experience outside and how it’s changed the way she views the world.

5. JOURNAL OF MOUNTAIN HUNTING

The Journal of Mountain Hunting is a print publication and podcast that places a distinct emphasis on stories, experiences and knowledge surrounding hunting and conservation in the high and wild places of North America and the rest of the world.
