I havent tested super cold weather yet but this seems like itl be a great mid/ outer layer. The quality is great but my only concern is the durability of it, which is just the nature of Alpha Direct. The only thing id change in the future is to add thumb holes or a little elastic shock cord or something on the sleeves because they do tend to ride up a bit. Overall great jacket and will take it everywhere
Have had it for about a year and half years now. I’ve worn it to temperatures down to 10 degrees, with winds of about 15mph. I’ve mainly used it as a midlayer between my baselayer and cammies or soft shell. Worked wonders on movements and kept me warm. Being static I had an extra insulation layer and I was warm as can be. Awesome product!
The parka is just what I read about. It's warm, well built, and suited to the temperatures we see in interior Alaska.I'm 6'1 195 and a medium fit me well. These are designed to be layered so there's lots of extra room.
