Durable Cold Weather Protection
The K5 - Testa Softshell Pant is the warmer alternative to the K5 - Velox Pant, designed for active use in cold weather. An inner fleece laminate adds additional warmth, making it the go-to in cooler climates.
Inner Fleece Laminate
An inner fleece laminate wicks moisture away from the body and traps heat.
Constructed with a gusseted crotch and deep articulated knees, allowing for maximum maneuverability.
The durable, 4-way stretch nylon shell is not only designed to move with you, but also provides protection from rough terrain and bushes.
Eyelet holes on the hem allow you to use any string to secure your pants to your boots to prevent rise-up which helps seal out the elements.

The insulated pants have heavy, quality fabric. Seem to breathe well too. This is my first purchase from Beyond. Happy to find a quality shop with tall sizes.
The pants seemed to be of durable, high quality material, but the fit was just a bit too baggy for me in the waist and lower legs. If my K5 jacket is any indicator of performance, I have no doubt they would have been great. I just didn't want to take them to a tailor and potentially have the material integrity damaged, so I returned them.
K5 - Testa Softshell Pant
This is my first experience with Beyond clothing. My first excursion with these pants was a 5 mile hike in a light, steady rain. I kept looking down at them to see if there were signs of a soak-through, but all I EVER saw was beaded water drops. Eventually, at about mile 3, I hiked across an exposed ridge and the rain was driven by a strong wind; after about half a mile, still only beaded water.
My next hike was a 5 miler in 22 degree weather on the AT. The pants were super comfortable and never made themselves noticable. So a few things about these pants; first, while not water-proof, they're very water resistant. Second, they are exceptionally comfortable and quiet. Third, comfortable in 22 degree weather while moving. When still, they don't keep you very warm, but I don't believe they're designed to in these temps. Finally, I bought the Medium size. I'm a 32x32 and I fall between the S and M and while the length is spot on, the waist is an inch or so too large; but with a belt that problem is fixed and is rather have them a little larger than small. I'd buy them again without hesitation and am looking forward to trying their other products.
The waist is a little bigger then I expected but otherwise fits well. Very comfortable, warm and keeps you dry.
