Cool jacket. Very warm.
Need to get used to the thumbhole cuffs
This coat keeps me warm and that’s saying lots. I am always cold but not anymore. Light and easy to pack
I really liked the idea of a lightweight layer system that allowed freedom of movement while keeping the cold at bay so I thought I'd give this Jacket a chance. I bought my first one in the spring of 2021 so I wasn't able to test it out until this cold season. Anyone who has experienced winter in Nebraska knows, Nebraska gets bone soaking cold. This season it dropped down to -11°F /-24°C with wind chills far below that. At the dog park where I walk my girls, the wind chill was right around -25°F/-31.5°C parts of this winter. Maybe colder.
Wearing a base layer of tshirt and sweats, hoodie, socks and a lightweight vest, the Cetra Durable L7 jacket and pants paired with gloves and lightweight boots, I was astonished at how well the system worked. The only part of me that suffered was my face which was exposed to the elements. Even my feet and hands remained warm due to keeping my core protected. Arms were slightly cool but it was comfortable and seemed to keep me from overheating. I like the extra pockets. Great Quality material and does what I need.
The only issue I have is with the zippers. They tend to snag the surrounding fabric, but it is not difficult to unsnag.
I was impressed enough that I bought this second jacket and would have bought another of the pants as well but Beyond was out of stock on my size.
Very well-made, lightweight and warm.
