High quality, thoughtfully designed, lightweight rain shell

The Beyond Drilight Rain Jacket was a great find. The fabric is waterproof and seems strong, but not overly stiff nor delicate. Quality of stitching and seam welding is excellent. My size Small jacket weighs 16.4 oz. The Coyote color is attractive with the lining being more of a carbon-gray and the zipper pulls and teeth being a drab green. The 2 "handwarmer" pockets and 1 outside chest pocket are just right-sized. The 2-way pit zips are fantastic, capable of opening up to 12 inches at maximum. Elastic cinches around the hood and at the waist work well and are easy to adjust. Similarly the hook-and-loop closure at the cuffs is easy to adjust to get the jacket on and off or to cinch around the wrist as needed. The hood is well fitted.

Sizing note: the jacket is very oversize, especially around the midsection, as indicated by what they call "Expedition" fit. Normally I wear Medium, but I needed a size Small in the Drilight Rain Jacket. This still leaves plenty of room for layering under the jacket and length in the sleeves. For reference I am a 5'8", lean man with a 39" chest and 34" sleeve measurement.

Amazing shell jacket

Quality is impressive considering this is not a $400 jacket, but $229... i own arcteryx shells and this one gives me confidence in heavy rain that ones double their price dont give me... i just wish is wasnt that long (height wise), but other than that, buy it! Im considering buying a size S so i can run it with 1-2 layers only (35-60F)

Good quality and very lightweight. Works great with a polartec alpha jacket for winter or just keeping the wind or rain off you. The zippers are good and definitely water tight so a tad stiff when using but worth it. Not as loud as some I’ve used but still noisy. Probably not going to be very sneaky running around in the woods with it. Great jacket and love then weight

Nice Jacket

I ordered a size medium based on their sizing guide. I'm 5'6" 180 the arms are a little long but everywhere else it fits perfectly. I can easily fit a sweatshirt and an additional layer underneath. Now things I think they can improve on. The chest pocket is very small they could make it a little larger and same with the side pockets. Also adding interior hoops to clip your keys or valuables inside the pockets would be a plus. Finally they could've made the velcro a little longer on the cuffs for a tighter fight when not having layers underneath. Overall it's a great lightweight jacket just needs a little tweaking.
