Description

The ideal all-arounder for changing conditions and day-to-day wear alike, the Dasche L3 Jacket does it all with a fraction of the bulk. Carefully mapped insulation and a tough, stretchy softshell combines the targeted warmth of a vest with the coverage and protection of a jacket. Featherweight materials keep you moving with ease, and the entire jacket can be swiftly compressed into the left hand pocket for fast, compact storage.

AGILE PROTECTION

VERSATILE STORAGE

Incredible ultralight insulation

I run hot but here in the PNW I often struggle with the right insulation during colder higher output or damp moderate static activities. This may be just what I need to stop my dance of layers and zipping open and closed. So far I have mixed feelings about how the hood stows, but nothing that is a deal breaker. It might be nice if it slipped fully behind a layer of fabric, rather than partially as it currently does. This also means there is no way to use the hang loop without the hood deployed, but again, not a huge deal. Looking forward to getting more testing in!

4-Star Review for Dasche L3 Jacket

The Dasche L3 Jacket is an excellent piece of outerwear, but not quite perfect. The quality, warmth, and functionality are top-notch, and the pocket design is outstanding—both in number and size. It’s by far the best pocket setup I’ve seen in any jacket.

The only drawback for me is the hood design. It’s stored in a zipper compartment, but it tends to seep inside the jacket and doesn’t stay neatly contained. I find myself constantly tucking it back in, which can be a bit frustrating. Maybe I just need more time to get used to it.

Overall, it’s a highly functional and well-made jacket, just with a minor design quirk. Still, I’d absolutely recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fits well

It’s a great hiking jacket for cool weather. My only complaint is a small discoloration in the front, I noticed it the first time I put it on. It looks like the plastic zipper pull transferred color or oil while in the package. Its primarily use for me will be sitting in my ruck as a backup.
