Whiskey and Wisdom is a new video series where we sit down with Beyond Explorers to discuss a topic that has inspired them in their life journey. First up, we have Marine Biologist and expedition leader, Dr. Jimmy White. Dr. White has a PhD in applied science and has been on expeditions that tracked Tigers in the Sumatran Jungle, Dwarf Minke Whales on the Great Barrier Reef, lived with Australian Sea Lions in the southern ocean and uncovered Horned Vipers in the middle-east. His Phd work led him to examine the role of marine protected areas with regards to the conservation of shark species. In batch No 1, Jimmy discusses the importance of time and intention.
Dr. White is currently following the path of the last human migration across Polynesia, where’s he’s the Expedition Leader aboard the National Geographic Orion. He’s testing our newest gear in some of the harshest environments in the world, from the Russian Far East to Antarctica and here in the tropical jungles and reefs of the South Pacific.
