Photographer | expedition leader
I have dedicated my life to understanding and conserving the natural world. I followed my passion, which was to explore the wilderness areas of our planet and understand the animals that live there. After you have seen the things around you, the next step is always to go a little further. Before I knew it my life was one big adventure.
My PhD work examined the role of marine protected areas with regards to the conservation of shark species. Along the way I have been on expeditions that tracked Tigers in the Sumatran Jungle, Anthrax on the Etosha plain, Dwarf Minke Whales on the Great Barrier Reef, live with Australian Sea Lions in the southern ocean and uncover Horned Vipers in the middle-east.
My passion for photography was inspired by working with award winning documentary teams including the BBC, Discovery Channel and National Geographic. These experiences have taken me up close and personal with some of the world’s most dangerous creatures, if it bites, stings, crawls or swims I have probably pointed my lens at it.
I'M ON THE ROAD, AT SEA, OR IN THE AIR ABOUT 7 MONTHS A YEAR.
