National Employee Appreciation Day

< Back to Blog Posts

The first Friday in March is National Employee Appreciation Day, an occasion to celebrate the hardworking people that make any enterprise successful. So we’d like to take this opportunity to introduce all of you in the fam to a few members of the Beyond crew. We couldn’t do it without them!

What's your job title?

Outfitter Specialist

How long have you been working here?

1 year and 4 months (ish)

What do you do?

The Outfitter team is basically the link between the customers and the inner workings of Beyond. We work directly with the customers to make sure they get what they need, but then also communicate back to our teammates how we can improve as a company to better serve the customer.

What’s your favorite part about working with Beyond?

The people, obviously! Being on a team of stellar humans who really believe in the “all for one” mentality.

What’s the coolest project you’ve been a part of?

It’s been a great time getting the upcoming Beyond Pollinator Program lifted up off the ground. I really like the idea of a small company helping a small creature make a significant impact.

What's your job title?

Product Designer

How long have you been working here?

6.5 years

What do you do?

We start with a sketch in the morning and get a prototype finished by the end of the day; we’re one of the fastest product design divisions in the industry when it comes to completing projects. Every day is a fun challenge, for sure.

What’s your favorite part about working with Beyond?

Watching our company grow. I was fortunate enough to start when we were a very small company. Watching us now compete with bigger brands is something I’m proud of.

What’s the coolest project you’ve been a part of?

Our K8 - Allta Parka and Bib system for sure. Our team put a crazy amount of work into that project and it’s been awesome to see the set perform the way it has. We also have some other projects coming up that I’m excited for.

What's your job title?

Product Line Manager

How long have you been working here?

6+ years

What do you do?

As product line manager, I am responsible for maintaining a portfolio of all products and product lines at Beyond. I work with our president to outline the coming year’s product line, based on the needs of our customers across various channels. Our amazing design and product development teams bring this all to life. Once they’re done doing all the heavy lifting, I have the pleasure of briefing their work and obtaining final approval.

What’s your favorite part about working with Beyond?

My favorite part about working at Beyond has been growing with the company. I’ve been given truly unique career opportunities here, chances to grow professionally in ways I don’t think I could’ve anywhere else. And along the way I’ve been lucky enough to make a few lifelong friends. The experience and relationships built have truly been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

What’s the coolest project you’ve been a part of?

One of my favorite things about Beyond is we are always developing for unique requirements. The coolest one I’ve been a part of is still in process. Let’s just say it involves yeti teeth and dog mushing.

What's your job title?

Product/Operations Director

How long have you been working here?

2.5 years

What do you do?

I oversee operations as well as sourcing and production of our fabric, trims, and garments. I work with different departments to deliver the best products at the best cost. What I love most is getting creative when it’s time to resolve related issues.

What’s your favorite part about working with Beyond?

We’re experiencing tremendous growth in a short amount of time, so we get to be part of building a company and establishing processes. We get to see immediate impacts because of how small we are. And since we’re a lean team, we get to wear a lot of hats. This makes for a different day every day at the office. The biggest thing is that everyone is passionate about what they do and genuinely wants to do everything to help the brand succeed.

What’s the coolest project you’ve been a part of?

Seeing our product in action in its intended use and space is the ultimate gratification. Whether it’s marine biologist Dr. Jimmy White wearing our product in the field or emergency response teams wearing our USA-made garments, it’s a feeling of pride to know our team is making garments that protect our end users from the elements.
