Gear for you, to complete the build
Received this coat last week. Beautiful right out of the bag. Great DWR finish and the ruff is so soft. It hoes it past my hips and I appreciate the extra lenght over the assets. Thinner than you'd expect high on the warmth scale.
Prob will wear in upper 30s PA weather. Any lower it will too be cold. Especially bc of the following issues that really keep you from layering more. My only two issues with the coat. The rib knit cuffs are pretty tight. Wearing a watch is slightly uncomfortable and if you are wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath the sleeve bunching can be quite painful. Brings me to my next issue. Size chart on this one is a bit off. I'm a solid 38 to 39 in the chest (itty bitty committee). The XL is supposed to be 43 to 45. Theres no way as I can't fit into this coat with a sweater or sweatshirt on. I can only wear thinner shirt underneath so that it won't be uncomfortable. Not sure if sizing up would help the cuff constriction though.
I’ve had the modus for 3 months now and I find using this for Colorado fall and winter to be ideal paired with a thermal to beat the cold and high winds 10/10 recommend
This coat is nice. But it needs work. The bicep pocket is stiff and useless. The zipper pulls all need to be more pliable and could stand to be smaller for pack ability. The hood needs a rigid flexible plastic instert.
The cuffs need lightweight dedicated rubber adjusters
Get rid of the heavy and overbuilt side zips and just add pit zips made with lighter weight more flexible rubber. Infact replace all zips with lighter weight more flexible rubber. And lastly drop the proprietary membrane all together and just make it GORE-TEX. Charge one to two hundred more and call it a day. Those changes- while many- would make this an industry leading jacket. Even with the price increase it would sell like hotcakes. You can also make all of those changes and use your proprietary membrane and you would still have a jacket that is extremely lightweight, packable, flexible, durable and more versatile. Also get rid of the damn elastic on the hem entirely. It’s completely useless.
These are incredible pants for any cooler/colder weather use. They are fuzzy inside, super comfy. Very windproof. They dry quickly and are built extremely well. I love the long length availability. Only dislike is the mesh pocket liners. Gotta be careful at what you put in them. You will poke a hole in them. Love the made in USA!
Love this shirt. This is my second purchase of the Todra, it's the most comfortable shirt I own. Gets softer and more comfortable with each wash. If you are looking for a new t-shirt give this one a try.
