Good, but many details could be improved

Right out of the box I overstretched a zipper pull and the under-crotch zipper was catching on the outer storm flap. From using primaloft insulation and similar fabric I know it will perform in the cold, but in my experience the reinforced durable cordura areas may just end up soaking more water and taking longer to dry. Usually for me, even most quality DWR will wear off after a few days in the backcountry. I am going to replace or reinforce the thin rubber zipper pulls with some stronger cordage, in a way that will give more surface area for mitten use. Next, after sewing grosgrain onto the outer storm flap, I shouldn't have so many zipper snag issues. Finally, I bet Beyond will fix these issues in the next iteration which is why this one is on closeout. However, the details make all the difference, and I'm also willing to bet the storm flaps are too short to block wind very well. I've experienced near frost nip on certain parts of my body that were tucked away behind inadequate zipper fly storm flaps before -- let's just say that now I own underwear with a windproof panel in the front. While the double storm flap feature is a good idea, the internal flaps are not rigid enough and end up folded backwards, thereby not stopping any wind. And the outer flaps are missing on the legs, especially the lower part, which combined with non water resistant small zippers, will probably lead to iced up zippers hard to unzip. The bib will definitely keep you warm, but for a quality backcountry piece of kit, I would expect some of these design features to be improved in the future. Also, the shoulder straps are lacking-I can pull directly upwards and cause the rear velcro to separate, and on the front the metal G hooks have a very wide opening that slips off too easily. I would prefer a non metal low profile quick release buckle (Kuiu's use of duraflex buckles comes to mind) or a different G hook.
