Got these through outlet and they were absolutely worth the price. I would've been fine with paying retail for these considering how versatile they are. Ended up picking 2 and now I'm considering a third. Size runs maybe an inch larger than normal but it's totally manageable.
When they claimed that it was as warm as a light puffer jacket, I was sceptical at first. I'm a believer now. It's very warm and cozy. I'm 5'10 ish and 200# strong, with wide shoulders, and the XL is roomy and very comfortable. I like the cut of Beyond's clothing, as I have longer arms, and the length is always good. If you wanted to be more sporty stylish and fitted, a Large would be better. I just went to looser winter layers that hold more dead air space and keep me warmer. This jacket doesn't block the wind, but is a really great active layer, and as warm as a light puffer. They know what they are doing at Beyond, making the best gear, wel thought out, at an affordable price. I really appreciate the tan and orange color, it's more of a burn orange and light coyote brown, much more subdued than in the pictures as I was imagining it would be, which Iike. I like the neutral earth tones. I have met guides in Jackson who are sponsored by the big brands and who get custom one off pieces made just for them, and they are very impressed with the quality and build of the beyond clothing stuff, even saying "wow XYZ brand doesn't even have pieces like that!" They get jealous, and go look it up. I really think Beyond is really doing something great here. I have almost a complete set of all their layers, only thing left is the goretex jacket. These clothes alow me to love winter.
Beyond, wish you made some over boot/mukluks for us, and some mittens, that's all that's missing for the civilian line-up. And maybe a nice polartec beanie and a winter balaclava thing. Alpine pack? Bring it all guys, tents, sleeping bags. Nothing too tactical looking, but with the comfort and ability of the tactical stuff. I'll buy it!
I have never worn such warm pants before, and he has a cotton content of more than 200 grams per square meter, which can also provide static warmth.I have never worn such warm pants before, and he has a cotton content of more than 200 grams per square meter,It's really great! It's just a bit too big.
Extremely warm, thick fleece, yet still breathable. I will have to wait for cooler weather to give it a more thoughtful tests.
As a certified mountaineer who owns Goretex Pro hard shells, down waterproof winter jackets, windproof fleeces, who climbs over 14,000ft mountains, who downhill skis every year, this is my Go To under layer for ALL of my outerwear, I absolutely love the fit, comfort, warmth, pack ability, breath-ability and ruggedness of this hooded jacket. Well done Beyond Clothing!! I would definitely buy this jacket again and again!!
