Very spacious jacket for layering, pockets designed so your stuff doesn't fall out. The material is thick and has a little crunch to it, but it holds up to the PNW rain quite well.
I picked up the Ultra Lochi Jacket 2.0 in Steel Blue / Rust (Medium) and it’s quickly become one of those “grab it every time” layers. The fit is excellent—trim without feeling tight, and it moves well whether I’m wearing it as a standalone jacket or layering it into a system.
The biggest surprise is just how warm it is for how light it feels. I’m usually not a puffy-jacket person (most of them feel bulky and look like I’m wearing a sleeping bag), but this one actually looks good and feels comfortable—more refined than typical puffies, and it doesn’t scream “marshmallow.”
Where it really shines for me is versatility: the cut works perfectly as a liner under a Beyond Clothing shell. It layers cleanly without bunching, so it’s easy to build a cold-weather setup without adding bulk.
