Lightweight, breathable, quick drying fabric provides ideal warmth for high output activities such as hiking, backpacking, skiing, biking, and mountaineering. The highly compressible insulation is sustainably produced in the USA from 54% recycled content.

Reinforced Hood and Shoulders

Durable 20 denier ripstop overlay paneling on the hood and shoulders for added functionality with heavy packs. Panels are treated with a sustainable C0 (100% PFC Free) DWR (Durable Water Repellency) to protect from light rain and to retain warmth.

Built for Layering

Can be worn as a stand-alone jacket or used as a force multiplier for warmth when combined with a protective outer wind or rain shell. Reduced friction between layers allows for increased range of mobility.

Perfect fit. Quick shipping. The Polartec Alpha Direct is amazing during periods of activity during cool/cold weather. This breathes quickly and alows you to keep your core temp well maintained.

Amazing!

I really enjoyed the breathability of this fleece. The reinforcement in the shoulders definitely helps with durability. On a recent fly-fishing trip, it kept me from overheating on the hike in, and comfortable in the rainy overcast 40 degree morning, until the sun came out and the temperature climbed into the 60's. When I took it off, it compressed well and took very little room in my backpack.

Great layering piece.

Love this jacket. It hits on a lot of points for me. My only complaint is the lack of elastic on the cuff.

Lightweight performance piece

Amazing how something so lightweight can keep you warm. It is designed to move heat/moisture away from your body during high intensity activities and trap heat when less active. If windy, a shell would be needed as it offers no wind resistance but, it doesn’t claim to be wind resistant as that’s not its design purpose.

Great value

As far as Alpha direct jackets go, you’re not going to find a better value for the features. Super breathable, light weight, great insulator, comfy for a variety of temps with a base and wind breaker. Only 4 stars because it’s annoying that they don’t make women’s stuff with the same features as men i.e facing over the shoulders to prevent fabric breakdown from carrying a pack.

FirstSun - Moonstone

I was a bit skeptical about this product. A short sleeve collared outdoor shirt seemed to brush up against a lot of use cases but not fully jump into any particular one. Turns out, the FirstSun turned into my go to, whether it be for climbing, running, hiking, or riding. It is highly packable, dries quickly and holds up like a champ. The collar is just enough to help prevent chafing if your sporting a pack with shoulder straps and the product is an absolute win. Probably going to pick up 1 or 2 more. (I already ended up picking up 1 of each color of the Tarngood shorts and 2 of the coyote, on top of the Tarngood pants)

I'm a little alarmed at the prices because they are so low I'm genuinely worried it's a clearance and the product could be discontinued. 20$ is a steal and worth every penny

Feels like a second skin

Super impressed with the quality. Great out in the field. Recommend pairing with the Krios.

What you would expect from a tech hat. But the details are well considered. Brim coverage is extensive - great for dealing with the elements. Breathable enough for moderate exertion. Stylish. And I can tell it will be very durable.

Worth every penny of the full price and a steal at the sale price.
