These are a great pair of lightweight pants with a minimalist design. They’re comfortable and easy to wear, especially in warmer conditions.
My main issues are with sizing, noise, and durability. First, the pants make a noticeable swishing sound when moving around, which can be a bit distracting. Second, the length runs longer than expected. I ordered a 34 Regular (my usual size is 34x30), but the inseam feels closer to a 32, so you’ll likely need to get them tailored.
Lastly, the belt loops could be improved. Mine have already started to fray, so a stronger material like Cordura would help with durability. I’d also prefer a single larger rear belt loop instead of two standard ones, similar to what KÜHL uses, since it tends to hold up better over time.
This my third piece of Beyond gear and I am still blown away at the quality and attention to detail in it's performance. I think the 2XL fit's like a standard 2XLL which is great for me! Can't recommend Beyond enough for outdoor gear you can rely on!
Seems like a really well made shell. Time will tell the durability but it feels solid.
RIP the old Beyond. Really quality gear. Love the fit and materials. I have 5 jackets from Beyond. They've become a staple to me in Seattle - especially since they carry tall sizes. Now that they only sell $600+ camo stuff to the military and they're moving away from pieces like this, it's no longer the amazing outdoorsy PNW shop it was.
