I am Bert Sorin, and besides being a competitive athlete for over two decades in the strength sports, I am an lifelong, avid outdoorsman. I long for the freedom of choice and consequence that the wild provides. Nothing is more true and unyielding than mother nature, with her mood swings and tough love. Out there, decisions matter. Decisions on route direction, gear selection, preparation of skill set all are factors that make or break an expedition. Wrong decisions can turn an adventure into a nightmare.

I have trained my whole life through physical and mental exercise to give myself the best chance for enjoyment in the outdoors, and for survival. To not only survive, but to thrive. My gear selection is a key component in my preparation and ability to write my own story. I chose to go Beyond.
