this thing is legitimately the hottest jacket i’ve ever put on. and i’m honestly not sure there’s a climate cold enough to beat this jacket’s performance. full mobility in an insanely warm jacket.
These pants are great and fit well / true to size. I took off one star because they seem lack some of the insulation lining around the cargo pockets. Preference wise, I wish they included additional thigh and hand pockets for folding knives, cell phones, etc. All around great purchase though
I purchased this using a military discount as a treat to myself ahead of a backpacking trip in Patagonia. The quick drying synthetic down was appealing to me and I've wanted to try this jacket for some time now. Functionally, it's outstanding. Unfortunately the stitching on the sleeves and armpits is subpar. I have been burning ends of loose stitching with a lighter since I took the jacket out of the packaging. This is a $600 piece of kit without the discount. I want to support American companies and buy American made products, but the stitching on this is worse than my "civilian" prima lochi jackets that are made abroad.
Very nice and well made jacket. Definite midlayer for colder temps and appears to be great over base layer in Spring / Fall. Impressed as I have been with everything from Beyond. Looking forward to wearing over Alpha Aura.
