The Clutch Field Liner L3 Jacket is a very good layering piece and also works well as a stand alone Jacket in milder weather. It is very versatile and I am glad I have in in my collection. Things I would improve: 1) make it a 2 way zipper, 2) add some inside pockets, and 3) get rid of the biceps pocket on the right arm. The 2 way zipper comes in handy getting in and out of vehicles and also helps to regulate temperature with the jacket. Inside pockets always nice to have and add to the functionality of the jacket. The biceps pocket is nice in theory but doesn't work so well in practice, have to hold the sleeve very tight to get the zipper to work. Things I love about the jacket:1) quality that I have come to expect from beyond, 2) nice zippered external pockets you can actually get car keys, glasses and a phone into, 3) insulation is just right for those days that can change quickly, 4) easy to layer under another jacket/coat.
All the zipper pulls used are excellent and very easy to use. All in all, an excellent multi-use piece of clothing.
Great under coat for layering on my early season Turkey hunt!
I was unsure of this jacket when I received it last fall due to the lightweight and thinness of the insulation. But it has become my go to outer layer this spring on these unusual windy Colorado days with 40 degree temps and 20-30 mph sustained winds. It also held up great on a day when I spent 7 hours moving and working with pioneering poles. Any of my puffers would have gotten holes and tears in them.
High quality take on a field jacket liner, great for cool days
