Prima Lochi K3 Jacket (Reversible)
Big fan of the Prima Lochi K3 jacket. I find it to be a perfect weight and texture for me. Not as light and flimsy as a rain jacket/wind breaker and not as full as a down coat. It's my new favorite daily jacket
I am very happy with this jacket. It’s a nice mid layer or stand alone for cool nights.
I like this jacket! You won’t be disappointed if you decide to purchase one. It’s very comfortable and warm. I bought the grey one because the black was no longer available, but that’s ok. The grey one is cool too.
This is for the Prima Lochi K3 in Lg Tall. I am 6'2" 205lbs.
PRO: Fits and looks great. Tall size awesome!
CON: Doesn't pack into own pocket
This jacket is stylish and a great replacement for a regular cotton/blend hoodie sweatshirt for everyday type wear. The best thing I can say about it is that it looks great and is made very well. The Lg Tall is not super long, but is great for someone like me (6'2") so as to actually go past the belt line and stay there during normal movement. For you 6'4"+ guys it prob won't do that.
The material is stylish and nice. The insulation is thin but works well. It breathes well and keeps out the wind as well as you could expect something this thin to do and also sheds off light moisture, but it certainly is not going to replace a shell (nor is it trying to, but given the marketing on this one it's worth saying ghat this is NOT a rain jacket or shell, so don't expect it to be). Also worth noting that the outer material will, like any thin nylon, tear easily on sharp stuff, so for traversing through thorns, deep brush, or for wearing on construction sites, don't expect this to replace your gore-tex shell or cotton sweatshirt. Yes, it's ripstop and that will limit the damage getting worse over time (like it does with regular puffy jackets), but won't stop a nail head or bramble from tearing it - don't expect unrealistic things.
Pockets are nice size, the only negative being that it has no provision to pack itself into it's own pocket. I would rate this jacket 5 stars if it had a provision to pack into itself, either into it's own pocket or into a tethered & stowed stuff sack (à la Arcteryx)
