This jacket is great. Its been raining a lot lately where I live. I have worn it to a couple of range days outdoors and it has kept me dry and warm. Water beads and doesn't soak in. The jacket is an excellent product.
So if you're looking for a jacket that is good for 20-40°F weather that is good when staying still this isn't the best. Especially with a stronger wind. Now for what it says it's for, Active Insulation it's pretty great. It keeps you super warm and dry with just one other base layer. It's surprising the difference from other just fleece or wool jackets. If you were like me and only used normal cheaper dicks/walmart name brands of jackets or never did to much movement in the cold.
The quality of this jacket is nothing less than amazing! One of my more comfortable jackets and I use it for everyday use. Light enough to pack up in my day bag and obviously perfect for layering. I can use this when I’m camping/hiking in the mountains or woods and it’s still nice enough where I can go hit the bars with some friends. I highly recommend this jacket.
this jacket went beyond my expectations in quality. The zippers are massive and strong the fit is perfect. No tight spots in full rotation of movement im glad I decided to get it!
So, I just got this jacket a week ago. Right out of the box it was a winner! Fit was right on, build, as usual from Beyond, was impeccable. Unfortunately it has been high 80 to mid 90 degrees in central PA and so I cannot speak to the chilly/cold weather capabilities of this jacket. That being said, I will be back this fall/winter with updates.
