Crafted to take on some of the nastiest stuff that the polar scene can dish out, the Allta Polar L8 Parka is your suit of armor for the world’s frostiest places. Powerful PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation and carefully mapped ripstop protection keep your heat on lockdown while warding off the elements, and strategic storage keeps necessities close at hand.

PRIMALOFT® GOLD

Earth-friendly PrimaLoft® Gold Eco Insulation is 55% recycled materials and supports system climate performance down to -70° F. Built to handle moisture, this lightweight synthetic insulation is water resistant, retains heat even if it does get wet, and gets you back to dry faster than down.

WEATHER PROTECTION

A 70-denier micro ripstop shell provides windproof and water-resistant protection while retaining breathability to keep you warm, dry, and sweat-free. Double-layer 40-denier CORDURA® ripstop mapped to key areas minimizes heat loss.

ADVANCED HOOD PROTECTION

Extend your coverage and warmth even further with the insulated hood, and ensure a just-right fit with the adjustable crown cinch. The ruff liner is fashioned from sustainably sourced Finnish fox fur and can be shaped around the face with an internal wire. Attach or detach it with the integrated zipper for a warm and elegant finishing touch.

Warm yet not bulky

Haven't had a lot of cold days to wear it this winter. I did spend around 4 hours outside in it the other day. Temps ranged from around 15 to mid twenties. It was a windy day as well. I wore a long sleeve polo under it, and alternated between walking around and standing still. Usually walked for about twenty minutes, then stood for ten or so. I was comfortable the entire time. The pockets are very roomy, including the chest pocket. The hood didn't get in my way when looking around when it was down, unlike two of my other parkas.

Loaned it to someone later in the day, they were impressed with it as well. Commented that is was warmer than they expected since it wasn't as bulky as their parka.

I haven't tried packing it yet, I did roll it up just out of curiosity, and it was a smaller roll than either of my other older parkas.

I will be curious to see how it does in heavy snow or sleet.

Fits great and it is better than expected.

Well made and recommend a size smaller unless you layer a lot of clothes and live in a colder climate.

Is absolutely amazing for my -30 to -50 days here up north. Totally worth every penny!

L8 parka

I love it! I live near Chicago and was a firefighter/paramedic for 40 years. I don't miss working outside in sub zero temperatures. But, I own a dog that needs to go out. The service was impeccable and quick. Thank you for keeping me warm@
