Pants are nice but the waistband is too tight and doesnt stretch much at all.

The materials are high quality. They fit well and are great for running in colder weather. However, the elastic waistband is a little too strong. It can be a little uncomfortable around my waist at times. The elastic doesn't have much stretch to it. The stitching started coming undone on the waistband after only a few months. I am not heavy set either. My waist is pretty thin.

Avid Ultralight L4 Pant

I've been looking for a running pant for some time now to replace an 13 year old pair of beloved Pearl Izumis. The L4's fit is uber-comfortable (size medium for me: 6', 185 lb) and the features are more than I require for a running pant. Two zippered back pockets, a zippered fly, a zippered security pocket inside the right pocket--all nice to have if you're doing something besides running, but unnecessary for my intent. It's an amazing softshell fabric. I do wish the fabric had a softer, less crinkly hand (not that it's bad or especially noisy, it just feels as much like a shell as it does a base layer). For chilly climbing days and extra cold running days, these pants will be primo when paired with a wool baselayer.
I'm still on the search for a dedicated running pant. No downgrade to Beyond for this; they're not advertised as running pants. All in all a fantastic pant at a decent price. Get yourself a pair. You'll be glad you did.
