Durable Cold Weather Protection
The K5 - Testa Softshell Pant is the warmer alternative to the K5 - Velox Pant, designed for active use in cold weather. An inner fleece laminate adds additional warmth, making it the go-to in cooler climates.
Inner Fleece Laminate
An inner fleece laminate wicks moisture away from the body and traps heat.
Constructed with a gusseted crotch and deep articulated knees, allowing for maximum maneuverability.
The durable, 4-way stretch nylon shell is not only designed to move with you, but also provides protection from rough terrain and bushes.
Eyelet holes on the hem allow you to use any string to secure your pants to your boots to prevent rise-up which helps seal out the elements.

I just purchased the softshell pant. Per Outside magazine article, this and the top are the keys to layering so that you stay completely dry (per military specs). I have not used it yet but check out the articles on this whic is almost completely unbelievable. It is going to take any outdoor activity in poor weather to a new level.
I bought these to hunt in late season Montana, and I have really liked them so far. I have about 7 days in the field so far with the Testa pants, and they have been both very warm and very flexible to the conditions here. It rained on the second day I was out, not hard but for several hours, and I was able to stay pretty much dry and warm throughout. The only thing I can suggest is they might be too warm if you are using them above 40 deg F in high activity levels, and the pocket zippers can be a little sticky in different standing/sitting/crouching situations. I foresee a lot of use from these pants, and I will definitely order more from Beyond in the close future.
