Highly Technical, Absurdly Comfortable
The Kyros edition of the A5 - Stretch Alpha Sweater, the K5 - Aptus Jacket delivers the best of both worlds by combining light, stretchy, and comfy construction with long-lasting durability and heat-packing insulation. Dynamic three-layer construction wicks up moisture and transports it out while hanging onto warmth, and the wind- and water-resistant softshell pairs with an insulated, adjustable hood to ward off nasty weather.

1st Layer Wicks
Double-knit Verso Weave™ fleece provides a blanket-soft feel and uses a circular grid pattern to create air channels, keeping you dry by funneling sweat up to the second layer.
2nd Layer Insulates
Polartec® Alpha® Insulation takes the hot sweat sent up from the first layer and then hangs onto the heat to keep you toasty while kicking the moisture up to the third layer.
3rd Layer Protects
The third and outermost layer uses a durable water repellent (DWR) finish to seal out freshly shed sweat and light rainfall, and features a durable softshell design with 4-way stretch to ward off winds and keep you mobile.
Stretchy, adjustable, and designed to go over climbing helmets, the hood ensures versatile fitting options when you need extra insulation and weather protection.

I was looking for a jacket for these winter months in the Pacific Northwest that would actually last. I looked at many different brands and stumbled onto Beyond which I never heard of. I watched videos and reviews and was impressed on what I saw. I decided to give them a try. Best decision I have made when it comes to jackets. This thing is Rad. Very comfortable, lightweight and high quality. I also bought the K3-Prima Lochi which is lighter but just as comfy. I will definitely be getting more in the future.
First, lets talk about craftsmanship and style. Like anything from Beyond, this jacket is extremely well made and looks damn good. It doesn't scream BEYOND since the logo placements are subtle, and I love that. The moisture management is phenomenal (NOT WATERPROOF, but will protect you in a light rain). The Verso Weave and Polartec really helps regulate your body temperature, so I can rock this with a T-Shirt on most days and stay toasty. Basically, the way that Beyond has advertised this jacket on the website is EXACTLY how it performs. GET THIS.
This is a great multi function piece of gear to have for those morning that start out very cool (low 40s) and temps rise into 50-60s...It provides that morning warmth but then allows for unzipping and venting for the day time warm up...I really like the feel of the interior- very comfortable and allows for a nice base layer to have on and then have the jacket as another warmer layer. Have not tested in wet conditions but I find this as my go to piece in the fall season... Well made, the hood is really nice...I have a larger chest and the XL is perfect for me 6 ft 210lbs
I really like this jacket. It sheds rain well. I haven't had any water soak into the jacket yet, which is a plus, so I don't know if it dries fast or not. It keeps me warm when I'm cold and vents well before I get hot.
I really like the overall fit too. Not too tight, not too baggy, just right. The stretch material allows for a full range of motion.
I purchased this jacket in the US 1928 camo pattern and it looks really nice.
The fit, function, and look of this jacket is hard to beat. I'm Beyond impressed.
For a wide range of climates (you know they change) . At first a little tight in the shoulder and sleeve but great with just a tee for chill mornings. For very cold a heavy base with a vest will keep you toasty. I love the look, clean and trim XL on 6’2” 220 lbs. I’m glad I looked and found Beyond
