This was my first purchase from Beyond and I had high recommendation from friends.
The half zipper design was what got my attention, and I was amazed! It is indeed a lightweight coat, but an amazing wind breaker and that's what I was going for.
I didn't even notice it has a pocket to fold into it self until after I got it so that was also an amazing feature.
Overall I like the fit of the pants. I ordered 36 and feel they are a 36 waist. I enjoy that the fit is regular, maybe even slightly relaxed. These are not a slim fit pant, and for that i am very grateful.
-1 Star: The thigh pockets are less than an ideal design. The vertical orientation seems good for folded paper maybe, or maybe gloves/soft hats? There is no internal separation, so they can be quite cavernous. I wear these for work in manufacturing and i am constantly re-adjusting the items i place in the thigh pockets.
-1 Star: The mesh pocket bag on the left front pocket is also worn. I have worn these pants for less than 6 months, only 2 days per week; and only my wallet and chapstick are in this pocket. I am quite disappointed in the mesh material that Beyond uses for alot of their pocket designs. It does act as an excellent vent, but it is very delicate. I did watch a review video that also noted the mesh as a problem and they made their own pocket replacements.
I would not buy these pants at full price. At outlet pricing, i might again; depending on how much time it takes me to repair the pockets.
The jacket is fantastic, my only complaint is the sleeves are just a smidge too short, I ordered a ML. Not so bad I’m willing to return it though!
These are my best pants for outdoor hiking and camping. Very comfortable and lots of pockets.
